Quick validation snapshot
Delaware has the highest estimate (5.13%); Iowa has the lowest (-0.43%). The U.S. benchmark is 2.34%. These are useful checks when importing the CSV into a spreadsheet. Reference jurisdictions may lie outside the 50-state range, so exclude rows marked reference when reproducing the default state ranks.
BEA does not publish margins of error for state GDP. Estimates are revised as source data improve; recent years change the most.
Calculation and reproducibility
100 × (real GDP 2025 / real GDP 2024 − 1), chained 2017 dollars (SAGDP1 line 1).

Limits and reuse
One year of growth is volatile, especially in states dominated by agriculture, energy or a few large employers. Real state GDP is adjusted with national prices, not state prices.
This is an independent arrangement of federal statistical data. Cite the named producer for the original observations and Rank the States for computed ranks. Downloading or embedding does not imply government endorsement. Source files are archived with a checksum for reproducibility.
